Grant from Horsham District Council
We are pleased to have received funding from Horsham District Council from the Community Climate Fund. This will enable us to replace our current complement of lights for low energy LED units, thus helping to preserve the environment and saving us money too.
Wedding at the Hall
We were delighted that Lucy and Chris recently chose to have their wedding celebrations at Rusper Village Hall. They took a lot of time and care to make the space as special as possible for their Big Day.
Rate increase for 2023
We are increasing hire rates by about 4% across the board which is well below inflation, with effect from April 1st. We deferred this decision from September 1st last year in order to more accurately gauge the true increase in energy costs before passing this on to Hall users.
Village Hall AGM
The Rusper Village Hall AGM will be held on Tuesday 15th November at 7:30pm in the large hall.
Defibrilator
The Village Hall has a new Defibrillator, which is located in the front entrance lobby in the alcove between the front door and the Ladies loo.
This was funded by a grant together with personal donations from members of the Management Committee, Rusper School and Rusper Playgroup.

What’s AIKIDO?
Come and find out!
We’re offering a welcome to come along and watch for a few minutes, or join in for the whole evening and participate in a whirlwind tour of this little-known martial art. Everyone is welcome.
- What time?
The hall will be open from 7:45 and the session ends at 10pm
There’s no need to stay for the whole evening; visitors are welcome to pop in. - What to wear? T-shirt and track suit bottoms is fine. We practice in bare feet on the mats.
- What to bring? A drink of water, an optional donation of £5, an open heart and a smile.
- What will you get? Aikido builds resilience, self-confidence, stress management and non-violence as well as physical skills of self-defence, flexibility, quick reactions, balance and strength of body and mind when under physical or verbal attack.
- Who can come?
Minimum age 14y. We are inclusive and diverse with no religious or political bias. Everyone is welcome.

Murder Mystery events a huge success!
